 Upgrade Checklist:  Personal Online Banking

SPECIAL NOTE:  If you currently access Online Banking via a “bookmark” or “favorites” link, please delete this bookmark and re-establish it as “www.thefmbank.com”.  Please be sure to log-in to Online Banking first and then to Bill Pay and Mobile.

If you’re a Personal Online Banking user, following this checklist will help ensure that you’re ready for our system upgrade scheduled for Friday, November 10 through Sunday, November 12.

 1)  Mint®, Quicken® and QuickBooks® Users – Advance Action Needed!

Between now and Thursday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.* (the sooner, the better), download the appropriate instruction guide from our website (available for download at Guidebooks) that covers what you need to do to ensure continued connectivity between your Online Banking profile and your accounting software package.  There are required steps that must be taken prior to 2:00 p.m.* on Thursday, November 9

 2)  Complete Any Online Banking Tasks In Current System

Prior to Thursday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.*, complete any tasks you’d like to take care of in the current system.  The system will be temporarily unavailable on Thursday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m.* and you will not be able to schedule any transactions, perform any maintenance, or conduct any business until the upgraded Online Banking system is up and running on Monday, November 13 at 8:00 a.m.

 3)  Log Into The New Online Banking System For The First Time

On or after Monday, November 13 at 8:00 a.m. access the new, upgraded system using the Online Banking log-in box on the home page of our website.  Important: If you currently access Online Banking via a “bookmark” or “favorites” link, please delete this bookmark and re-establish it as “www.thefmbank.com”.

  • Your User ID will remain the same; however, your password will be reset.  When you log-in for the first time on or after Monday, November 13, your temporary password will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number
  • At that time, you will be prompted to establish a new password (it can be the same as your password on the old Online Banking system if you like) and asked to establish security questions.
  • You will then be directed to the upgraded Online Banking system.
  • The look and feel of the upgraded system may appear somewhat different than the old, but all of the functionality is there.  Navigation is fairly intuitive --- it’s easy to get around and it should be fun to explore!

 4)  Verify Your Accounts

After logging into the new system for the first time, verify that all of your accounts appear correctly on the Accounts Summary page.  Your account information, including account numbers and transaction history, should have automatically transferred from the old to the upgraded Online Banking system.

  5)  Make Sure That Your Browser Is Up To Date

The upgraded Online Banking system offers some innovative features --- and more will be added in the coming year.  Make sure you have the latest version of your preferred web browser to ensure that it functions at its best, and that you will be able to enjoy the utmost in Online Banking functionality and convenience.
