F&M Bank has been the subject of fraudulent emails in recent days. Two individuals have received emails asking for Online Banking and Bill Pay information, including login IDs and passwords. In addition, debit card numbers are also requested.

F&M Bank urges people to not give this information over the phone or send it by email. F&M Bank maintains this information on file and will never call or email customers asking for debit card numbers, Online Banking information or other identifying information.

Scams are not the result of a loss of customer data or any kind of security breach at F&M Bank. These kinds of scams use fake e-mails and fraudulent web sites designed to fool recipients into divulging personal financial data.
